Bristol Mountain, a popular ski resort in Ontario County, is keeping winter sports enthusiasts happy with homemade snow despite unseasonably warm weather during the Christmas break.
Lacking natural snowfall, the resort, which has been operational since 1964, is utilizing its snow-making capabilities to ensure that skiing and snowboarding activities continue uninterrupted.
The resort is open for both day and night operations, running from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., offering ample opportunities for visitors to hit the slopes.
Bristol operators noted that the resort is not yet ready for first-time skiers or snowboarders, known as โnever-evers,โ but anticipates opening more trails once the temperature drops.
The ski and snowboard season at Bristol Mountain is scheduled to run through the first week of April, leaving plenty of time for weather changes.
