Police announced charges against a Canandaigua man following an incident involving a 7-year-old child on December 8 at a local grocery store. Police said in an announcement, though, that there are likely more victims.
The Canandaigua Police Department arrested Paul Goodrell, 54, for public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child.
According to a news release, police were dispatched to a grocery store in Canandaigua for the report of an adault male who exposed himself and masturbated in front of a 7-year-old child.
This happened in addition to Goodrell trying to lure the child away from his parents at the grocery store.
He was taken into custody the next day at the same grocery store after he apparently returned.
Police say Goodrell was taken into custody but intentionally broke his monitoring bracelet when he was in custody. Additional charges are pending for that, police added.
The video surveillance obtained by investigators indicates there were additional victims. The name or location of the grocery store wasnโt released.
