Cato man damages property during dispute, faces child endangerment charge

The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Cato man following an overnight domestic incident on October 18.

According to a news release from Sheriff Brian Schenck road patrol deputies were dispatched to a residence in Cato around 1:05 a.m. for a report of a domestic dispute.

Investigation determined that Brock Cordway intentionally damaged a woman’s cell phone in front of children under 17. As result, he was charged with criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child.

Cordway was processed and arraigned. The charges will be answered at a later date in local court.
