Clifton Springs man charged with burglary, grand larceny after stealing log splitter, other tools from locations in Manchester and Phelps

Deputies arrested a Clifton Springs man following an investigation into a stolen log splitter and tools in two Ontario County towns.

Jared Strub, 33, was arrested for grand larceny after stealing a log splitter that was valued at over $1,000.

Deputies said in a release that the splitter was stolen from an address in Manchester.

He was arraigned on that charge, then later charged with a felony count of burglary after stealing tools from an address in Phelps.

He was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.
