Cornell University has placed several fraternities under temporary suspension pending investigations into allegations of hazing.
The Ithaca Voice reports that specific details about the fraternities involved or the nature of the allegations have not been disclosed.
These fraternities, part of the Cornell Interfraternity Council which comprises 29 member chapters, are now paused from all activities as the university’s Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards conducts its inquiry.
Cornell encourages any students affected by hazing to seek support through its health and advocacy services and provides channels for reporting incidents, including anonymously.
