A woman from Corning, previously reported missing, was discovered deceased on November 7 around 11 a.m., authorities have confirmed.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office conducted an initial investigation after responding to the scene where the body was found.
Law enforcement has secured the area as a part of the evidence collection process. The ongoing investigation aims to determine the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death, with an autopsy scheduled to establish the cause.
The Sheriff’s Office has not yet disclosed additional details about the case. Further information is expected to be released following the autopsy results and progression of the investigation.
