DEC officers say one person was ticketed after a wildfire investigation in Ovid.
According to officials, around 9:30 a.m. on May 28 forest rangers responded to a complaint about rubbish burning that had spread to private property.
Tickets were issued to an unnamed person for burning that endangers another property.
They say the investigation is still active and additional charges are possible. The person who was ticketed was not identified by the DEC.
