The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Cato man for driving while intoxicated after an incident on State Route 34.
Sheriff Brian Schenck says deputies were called to the area of Route 34 and Ditmar Road in Cato for a traffic complaint. A motorist called 911 to report an erratic driver who wasn’t using headlights.
Deputies found the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. iT was determined that John Knox, of Cato, was under the influence of alcohol.
He was charged with DWI and failure to keep right. The charges will be answered at a later date.
