Deputies say a Savannah man was arrested after an animal cruelty investigation in Wayne County.
Monte Carr, 53, was arrested for falsifying business records after an investigation into an animal cruelty issue.
Carr is accused of dropping off a deathly ill dog to the Wayne County Humane Society. He’s accused of giving false information regarding his identity.
After arrest Carr was released and will answer the charges at a later date.
