The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office provided an update on a personal injury crash that happened on State Route 14 at the intersection with Morley Road in Sodus Point.
On Monday a little before 2 p.m. first responders were called to that area after a report of a two-car crash.
Upon investigation it was found that Charles Boyd, 28, of Webster was traveling south on Route 14 when a utility bucket truck operated by Cody Green, 29, of Colton was parked alongside the road.
Boyd’s vehicle struck the utility truck causing serious damage, deputies said. He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
