Rumors surrounding a work stoppage at the Lake’s Edge Seneca, a $25.2 million hotel and luxury townhome project on Lochland Road, have been addressed by the developer, Rivers Edge Capital.
In a letter to Geneva’s Mayor Steve Valentino reported by the Finger Lakes Times, Adam Dechow, the developer’s director of sales and marketing, clarified that the halt is temporary.
The pause resulted from a previous lending partner’s failure to meet their obligations. He noted that they have replaced this partner with a more reliable financier, ensuring the project remains on track.
The developer has decided to prioritize the townhome phase, closer to the lake and not visible from Lochland Road, to expedite city tax benefits. Dechow informed that despite the current halt, the construction will resume in August without affecting the planned schedule.
