The Town of Dryden has recently adopted its 2024 budget, which notably includes a tax decrease for its residents.
The budget breakdown reveals $12,756,283 in appropriations, a $486,503 unexpended fund balance, and $9,920,949 to be raised by taxes among other revenues.
Officials announced that the 2024 tax rate has been reduced to 5.29% from the previous yearโs 5.39%, marking a 2% cut.
This decrease is attributed to significant increases in tax revenue, generated from various projects in the town. Lamb highlighted the revenue influx from Berkshire Hathawayโs improvements at the Borger Station and earnings from area solar farms as key contributors to this financial uptick.
