In a significant milestone for the Finger Lakes region, cannabis cultivators showcased their products for sale in a pop-up setting at the Honest Pharm Co. warehouse in Newark, Wayne County on Tuesday.
As they await the green light to establish dispensaries, another showcase is set to launch across from East Avenue Wegmans in Rochester.
Participating cultivators, including Herbal IQ which is hosting the Rochester showcase, face the challenges of a constantly evolving industry dictated by regulations and legal matters. Sidney Barrett, regional manager for Herbal IQ, stressed the importance of adapting to changes and fostering collaboration between growers and processors.
These showcases, offering lab-tested, regulated products, provide a safer consumption avenue for consumers.
Operating hours for the Newark location are Tuesdays through Sundays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., while the East Avenue site opens Wednesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
