Residents in the town of Hector will soon have the opportunity to get to know the candidates running for public office there.

The all-candidates forum is set to take place on Thursday, November 2 at the Searsburg Grange.

There are several competitive elections unfolding in Hector this year.

Democrat Justin Boyette is facing off against Republican John White for town supervisor. Meanwhile, four candidates are vying for two open seats on the Town Board. Those are Rebecca Wright and Veronica Perina, both Democrats, as well as Michael Bergan and Ben Dickens, both Republicans.

Thereโ€™s also a race for an unexpired two year term on Town Council. The two candidates facing off for that spot are Anthony Mansfield, who will appear on the Democratic line, as well as Bruno Schickel, who will appear on the Republican line.

Organizers say this is an important moment and election for the town, as it will have a significant impact on its direction over the next four years.
