Deputies arrested an Ovid man on several animal abandonment charges after a citizen’s complaint to the local dog control officer.
Cori Spears, age 44, has been charged with four counts of animal abandonment, as well as four counts of failure to provide proper sustenance.
During investigation, four dogs were found to be in poor health that were owned by Spears.
He was issued an appearance ticket and the dogs were removed from the residence for proper care.
