The Geneva Music Festival initiated its annual Spring Benefit Auction this week, offering a range of unique experiences to bidders, from Adirondack retreats to private chef dinners, all in support of its mission to deliver exceptional music to the Finger Lakes region. The auction, featuring items donated by local businesses and individuals, started online on March 1 and will run until March 8, culminating in a live auction event at the benefit concert.
The Spring Benefit Concert is set for March 8 at Froelich Hall on the Hobart and William Smith Campuses, starting at 6:30 p.m. The concert will celebrate International Women’s Day with performances by Anna Petrova (piano) and Molly Carr (viola), playing excerpts from their album “HERS,” which showcases music composed by women. The event promises an evening of culture and community, with tickets priced at $75, including a reception featuring biodynamic wines.
Founded in 2011, the Geneva Music Festival has evolved from a weekend chamber music series into a month-long festival attracting thousands from across the region. Now in its 14th season, the festival continues to fulfill its goal of enriching the cultural landscape of the Finger Lakes through world-class performances and outreach efforts.
