A Chemung County Grand Jury has indicted Theodore Swan IV, a 34-year-old man from Big Flats, on charges of attempted murder and three counts of assault.
The indictment stems from an incident on January 20th, where Swan allegedly stabbed another man in the chest outside his home on Burkeshire Drive.
According to the indictment, after the stabbing, Swan barricaded himself inside his home, leading to a standoff with police. The police eventually used a robot to locate Swan and a gas agent to force him out of the house.
The victim was taken to Robert Packer Hospital for treatment.
