Inmate faces several charges after contacting protected parties in Cayuga County

Investigators in Cayuga County report the arrest of a Mentz resident following a series of incidents there.

According to a news release, Brien Fredendall, 45, was arrested for three counts of contempt, two counts of child endangerment, and one count of criminal solicitation.

The charges stemmed from an investigation where Fredendall was contacting multiple people protected by a court order.

He was incarcerated at the jail when the incidents occurred.
