Earlier this month Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson became one of the youngest sheriffs in New York. That doesn’t make him less experienced than some other law enforcement leaders in the region, though. Sheriff Thompson took office after 25 years in law enforcement, and in a conversation with FingerLakes1.com said the decision came down to his desire to serve the community. In an exclusive conversation earlier this week, Thompson talked goals, his vision for law enforcement in Seneca County, and what he makes of some of the most-pressing issues in law enforcement.
