Investigation underway after stabbing in Ithaca

Authorities responded to a stabbing incident on the 200 block of S. Fulton Street around 1:10 p.m. on October 27. Upon their arrival, Ithaca Police Officers, along with the Ithaca Fire Department and Bangs Ambulance, found the victim receiving medical attention for a non-critical stab wound.

The injured individual was subsequently airlifted to a regional trauma center and is now in stable condition. The alleged offender was identified by the victim and promptly located with the collaborative efforts of the Tompkins County Sheriffโ€™s Office and a New York State Police Trooper, both of whom were actively assisting Ithaca Police Department units at the scene.

Preliminary findings suggest the incident stemmed from a disagreement between acquainted parties. As the investigation remains active, authorities have refrained from pressing charges or disclosing any names related to the case. Law enforcement officials encourage anyone with relevant information to come forward, assuring potential informants that their details can be shared anonymously.
