The Ithaca Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced the arrest of 36-year-old Natasha Padron-Martinez, a resident of Ithaca, in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred in late October.
Padron-Martinez has been charged with second-degree assault, a Class D Felony, for allegedly stabbing the victim with a knife during the incident.
Following her arraignment in Ithaca City Court, she was remanded to Tompkins County Jail.
The original incident took place on October 27 around 1:10 p.m. in the 200 Block of S. Fulton Street, Ithaca.
Responding officers, along with the Ithaca Fire Department and Bangs Ambulance, found the victim suffering from a non-life-threatening stab wound.
The victim was treated at the scene and subsequently airlifted to a regional trauma center, where they were reported to be in stable condition.
The investigation revealed that the stabbing resulted from a dispute between known parties. The perpetrator was identified by the victim and later located by law enforcement officers, including a deputy from the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office and a trooper from the New York State Police.
The Ithaca Police Department continues to investigate the incident and encourages anyone with information to contact them.
