Senior guard Brooke Jarvis led the William Smith College basketball team as it fell 76-38 to Ithaca College this afternoon in a conference matchup. The Herons fall to 1-11 overall and 1-4 in conference play while the Bombers move to 9-2 overall with a 3-1 mark in the Liberty League.
Jarvis led the Herons with 16 points, five rebounds and two assists for her 10th game in double digits this season. With her 14th point of the day, Jarvis surpassed the 1,000-career point mark, she is just the 18th Heron to do so in program history and first since Mia Morrison did in 2019.
Junior Molly Walsh and first-year Ava Lobozzo chipped in four points each while first-year Jazzmyn Lewis grabbed three steals.
Camryn Coffey led the Bombers with 19 points and two rebounds while Annabella Yorio chipped in 14 points and eight rebounds to extend Ithaca’s win streak to five.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- First-year Miranda Martin opened the scoring for the Herons with a jump shot to give William Smith a 2-1 lead.
- Lobozzo tied the game at 4-4 after a driving layup on a fast break beat the Bomber defense.
- Ithaca responded with a 17-0 run keeping William Smith scoreless through the remaining seven minutes of the opening quarter.
- Lobozzo opened the second quarter with another driving layup to end the Bombers scoring streak.
- The Bombers continued to play aggressive defense, forcing several Heron turnovers resulting in William Smith fouls. Ithaca shot well from the line to extend their lead to as much as 21.
- Jarvis caught the hot hand in the final minutes of the half, helping William Smith with eight points.
- Walsh converted a three-point play to extend the Herons scoring run to 9-0.
- Jarvis scored a buzzer beating jumper to extend William Smith’s scoring streak to 12-0 to close out the half. The Herons scoring run cut their deficit to just 13 at the half.
