Lainey Wilson breaks New York State Fair concert attendance record Wednesday

The Great New York State Fair saw a record-breaking start, attracting thousands from across the state. Among the attractions of food, drinks, and interactive activities, the musical performances stood out as the star highlight of the day.

Moving away from its traditional focus on Country music, the fair showcased a diverse range of genres this year, including Pop and Hip Hop, catering to various audience demographics. While the legendary Hip Hop duo, Salt-N-Pepa, wowed fans at Chevy, it was rising country music sensation Lainey Wilson who stole the show at Suburban Park.

Wilson drew a massive crowd, with the fair confirming that 53,200 attendees sang along to her hits, breaking the previous concert attendance record of 43,000 set by Nelly in 2022. This change in the fairโ€™s musical offerings and the subsequent response from attendees signal a promising trend in diversifying entertainment to cater to a broader audience in future editions.
