Firefighters have been dispatched to a large fire along State Route 96A in Fayette.
The call came in around 9:15 a.m. and heavy black smoke could be seen from the north side of Seneca Lake. The heavy, black smoke was carrying over Route 96A impacting visibility for motorists.ย
Border City, Waterloo, Seneca Falls, Varick, Fayette, Junius, Clyde, and Geneva firefighters were called.
The structure was described as a garage with a large fuel tank. The Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire reported that the tank was 300 gallons.
Itโs unclear what kind of fuel the tank was holding.
