Lodi Supervisor Kyle Barnhart will not seek re-election

In a surprising announcement, Lodi Town Supervisor Kyle Barnhart has decided not to run for reelection.

Elected four years ago by Lodi Democrats, Barnhart’s decision was influenced by significant changes in his personal life, including marriage, becoming a father of two, and a new career demanding increased time commitments. He cited the need to be present in the early years of his children’s lives as a compelling reason for his choice.

Throughout his tenure, Barnhart has served both on the Lodi town board and the Seneca County Board of Supervisors, expressing gratitude for the trust the people of Lodi placed in him.

Committed to advocating for Lodi and other underprivileged communities in the region, Barnhart highlighted his achievements in securing over $300,000 in grants for the Lodi Food4All Pantry, the construction of the new Lodi Town Hall, expansion of the Seneca County Tourism Grant program, and efforts to share sales tax in Seneca County as significant achievements during his term.

Barnhart says he will remain active in the community.
