Lyons High School senior JC Walker was named the 2023 New York State Sportswriters Association Boys Basketball Class C Player of the Year.
Walker averaged 26 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, four steals, and three blocks per game and helped Lyons win the Class C3 Sectional Title, the school’s 21st title. He was named the Section V Class C3 Tournament MVP following his 23-point performance against Wheatland-Chili.
The upcoming 2023 graduate also received several other accolades this season, including Wayne County Player of the Year and 2023 All-Greater Rochester Boys Basketball Team honors.
