The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of John A. Leslie, a 38-year-old man from Rochester, following a severe domestic violence incident.
Leslie faces charges including assault, strangulation, harassment and two counts of criminal mischief. The arrest was made after Leslie allegedly attacked a woman, prevented her from calling for help by smashing her phone, and strangled her before fleeing the scene.
Quick action by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, utilizing their K9 unit and drone team, led to Leslie’s apprehension.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
