The New York Mets (61-73) avoided a three-game sweep by taking the series finale from the Texas Rangers (75-58), 6-5, thanks to DJ Stewartโs walk-off hit-by-pitch in the bottom of the tenth inning.
Stewart, who recorded his first career walk-off RBI, also launched two home runs and made a terrific game-saving catch against the right-field wall in the top of the ninth after tying the game in the bottom of the eighth with his second homer.
Daniel Vogelback drilled his 13th home run of the season in the win, while Brandon Nimmo added an RBI double.
