The New York Mets made a roster move Tuesday, putting veteran starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco on waivers, The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal reported.
Any club can claim the 36-year-old and add him to their roster before September 1, making him eligible for the playoffs.
Carrasco, who will be a free agent this offseason, is still owed roughly $2.6 million for the rest of the season.
The right-hander has struggled this season, posting a 6.80 ERA over 99 innings.
