The New York Mets made a roster move Thursday, reinstating relief pitcher Stephen Ridings from the 60-day injured list and optioning him to Triple-A Syracuse.
Ridings has been on the injured list all season, recovering from a lat strain and shoulder problems.
The Mets acquired the 27-year-old from the Yankees off waivers this past offseason. However, he has appeared in just five big-league games, where he has a 1.80 ERA.
As long as he stays healthy, it wonโt be long until he gets called up with how bad New Yorkโs bullpen has been this season.
