A 22-year-old student from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Matthew Grant, who was reported missing in November, has been safely located and reunited with his family, according to the Monroe County Sheriffโs Office.
Grant was last seen on November 20 when he left his off-campus residence in Henrietta, informing his roommates that he was meeting a friend. However, he traveled east instead, with surveillance footage capturing him at a gas station in Seneca County on the night of his disappearance. His vehicle was later tracked on the New York State Thruway at Exit 36 near Syracuse.
The search for Grant extended to the Syracuse and Adirondack regions, reflecting the concern for his safety. The circumstances of his discovery and the reasons behind his sudden loss of contact with family and friends remain unclear.
