Montezuma Audubon Center now scheduling field trips for local schools

The Montezuma Audubon Center is now scheduling educational field trips for this spring, offering a diverse range of programs aimed at connecting students with nature. Programs cater to different age groups, from pre-kindergarten to biology students, ensuring an enriching experience for all participants.

Montezuma specializes in guiding students through wetlands to foster environmental conservation awareness. Each trip costs $15 per student, with free admission for accompanying adults. The duration of these interactive programs is two hours. An exciting opportunity for schools is the potential for a fully reimbursed field trip through the Connect Kids to Parks grant offered by NYS Parks.

Montezumaโ€™s program offerings range from โ€œNature Detectivesโ€ for younger children to โ€œMontezumaโ€™s Living Environmentโ€ for older students. Additionally, there are conservation volunteer opportunities for hands-on experience in habitat restoration. Schools interested in this unique learning experience can email [emailย protected] or call (315) 365-3588 to start the reservation process.
