Newark PD welcomes Eric Minisce as latest edition to force

The Newark Police Department introduced Officer Eric Minisce as the latest addition to their team. Officer Minisce, a seasoned professional in the field of law enforcement, began his policing career in June 2006, following his graduation from the Finger Lakes Law Enforcement Academy.

His extensive experience includes serving with the Lyons Police Department until its dissolution in 2015, working part-time in Clyde, and most recently, holding a full-time position with the Wolcott Police Department. Minisce is known for his appreciation of small-town policing, valuing the opportunity to connect with the community. His enthusiasm for community engagement is one of the reasons he is excited to serve in the Village of Newark.

Described by peers as determined, genuine, and trustworthy, Officer Minisce is also recognized for his strong family orientation, dedicating time to coaching his childrenโ€™s youth baseball teams and enjoying golf. Newark Mayor Jonathan Taylor and Police Commissioner Stu Blodgett have both expressed their support for Minisceโ€™s addition to the team.

Mayor Taylor highlighted Minisceโ€™s experience as vital for advancing the departmentโ€™s community policing goals, while Commissioner Blodgett emphasized the value of Minisceโ€™s diverse background in Wayne County law enforcement.

The Newark Police Department and its leadership are confident that Officer Minisce will significantly contribute to their departmentโ€™s growth and success.
