The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a West Virginia resident following a physical altercation at the Wayne County Jail.
Jacob Rivera, 32, of Welch, West Virginia, was arrested for second-degree assault after an incident at the jail.
He’s accused of physically assaulting another inmate at the jail.
Deputies say a corrections officer was hurt during the incident.
Rivera was arraigned and will answer the charges at a later date.
