One man was seriously injured after his arm became entangled in a piece of farm machinery in Manchester.
Deputies say the Ontario County 911 Center received a call regarding an employee who had become trapped in a piece of machinery at the Will-O-Crest Farm on Thursday around noon.
A deputy and state trooper were dispatched to the scene, and arrived alongside Finger Lakes Ambulance, as well as Phelps and Clifton Springs fire departments.
The victim had to be removed from the machine after his arm had become trapped between a wire spool and the machineโs outer housing.
First responders were able to disassemble the machine in order to free the trapped limb.
LifeNet responded and airlifted the victim to Strong Memorial Hospital, who deputies expected would remain there to be treated.
Deputies said there was no foul play and the incident was being treated as a work place accident.
