Ontario County is calling for grant applications from non-profits, private entities, and municipalities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, targeting projects that focus on arts, culture, and recreational development. This initiative, funded by the Federal American Rescue Plan Act, aims to enhance the availability, accessibility, and quality of these facilities for county residents.
Grant applications are welcomed for projects ranging from $10,000 to $100,000. These projects should be designed to counteract the negative effects of the pandemic, with an emphasis on arts, cultural activities, or both active and passive recreational opportunities. The goal is to promote recovery, economic resilience, and the overall quality of life in Ontario County. Eligibility requires a 25% match for non-profit and municipal applicants, and a 50% match for businesses. Funds will be disbursed on a reimbursement basis.
The county has engaged The Harrison Studio, a third-party consultant, to aid in the administration of this grant program. For further information about potential project eligibility or to apply, interested parties should contact Michael Zimmerman at The Harrison Studio or visit www.ontariocountyny.gov/communitygrant. An informational webinar is also scheduled for July 19th at 2:00 pm. Grant applications will be accepted through August 11.
