Ontario County duo charged with forgery after attempting to buy $30K hutning trip

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office arrested a local duo after paying for a $30,000 hunting trip with a check that did not clear.

According to a news release, Deborah and David Cass, 43 and 42 respectively, were arrested for second-degree forgery and third-degree grand larceny after purchasing a guided hunting trip through a local business.

Deputies said the business was located in the town of Manchester, but did not identify it in the press release.

The Cass’ attempted to pay for the hunt with a method of payment that did not have sufficient funds, authorities added.

The two were arraigned on the felony charges and will appear in local court at a later date.
