Pedestrian critically hurt after 87-year-old overshoots parking spot at BJs Wholesale in Victor

Authorities in Ontario County say one person is in critical condition at Strong Memorial Hospital after a crash involving two vehicles and a pedestrian in the parking lot of BJs Wholesale in Victor.

According to a news release, the crash happened just before 1 p.m.

Filomena Marchiolo, 87, of Fairport entered the BJโ€™s parking lot in an SUV. As she attempted to enter a handicap parking spot- she overshot the parking area and collided with another SUV operated by Karen Fudge, 60, of Penn Yan.

Thatโ€™s when Marchioli then recklessly reversed the vehicle at a high rate of speed as 83-year-old Maryann Delfino was walking behind the vehicle.

Deputies said Delfino is hospitalized at Strong Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

The investigation into the crash remains active. However, deputies say they were assisted by Fishers Fire Department and Victor Farmington Ambulance.
