Police in Ithaca are once again asking for the public’s help after a shooting in the city late-Saturday.
A little before midnight officers were called to multiple reports of shots fired at West Village Place at Ackerman Circle.
Upon arrival, police determined that several rounds were fired in the area, with multiple shell casings being recovered.
Police say the suspect or suspects, of which they have no description for, fled the area before their arrival.
Police had no other information to release related to the incident Sunday morning, but asked residents who hadn’t yet talked with police to contact them if they witnessed it.
This was the second shooting of the weekend under investigation in the city. Late Friday, police began investigating a shooting that left two people hospitalized with serious injuries. The suspect or suspects in that incident were also at-large as of Saturday evening.
Police were also investigating a string of commercial burglaries in the city. They released video footage of one such incident, which authorities hoped would aid in the investigation.
