Penn Yan Police arrested Jamie L. Lovejoy, 47, and Jayson L. Lovejoy, 25, after an incident on November 4 involving a physical altercation at a local business.
Officers were patrolling the village and came upon a verbal argument between three individuals. Further investigation revealed that both Jamie and Jayson Lovejoy had physically assaulted another man, striking him multiple times in the face and causing injury.
The Lovejoys were both charged with assault in the third degree and harassment in the second degree. These charges stem from their aggressive actions during the altercation, which resulted in harm to the other involved party.
Both individuals have been issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
