The Powerball jackpot has surged to a staggering $1.55 billion after Saturday’s draw yielded no winners, propelling the prize to become the fourth-largest in lottery history.
The numbers for the recent draw were: 47, 54, 57, 60, 65, with a red Powerball of 19. The offered prize represents the amount for a winner who chooses the annuity option, receiving payouts over 30 years.
However, many winners typically prefer a one-time cash option, which for the upcoming Monday draw stands at an estimated $679.8 million.
This jackpot accumulation marks 34 consecutive rollovers since the last jackpot claim on July 19, closely following a record of 41 rollovers set between 2021 and 2022. The slim chances of clinching the Powerball jackpot are attributed to its steep odds, set at 1 in 292.2 million. The Powerball lottery is played across 45 states, in addition to Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
