Rasmus Dahlin nets game-winner in overtime as Sabres top Lightning

Rasmus Dahlin scored his 15th goal of the season at 1:42 into overtime, giving the Buffalo Sabres a 3-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena on Thursday night.

Buffalo (28-28-4) trailed 2-1 after 40 minutes, but Tage Thompsonโ€™s 18th of the season midway through the third period helped the Sabres get it to OT.

Alex Tuch (17) also found the back of the net, while Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 21-of-23 shots.

Buffalo went 2-for-3 on the power play and 2-for-3 on the penalty kill.

The Sabres will head home for a pair of home games this weekend, starting Saturday at 7 p.m., when they host Jack Eichel and the Vegas Golden Knights.
