What’s been rumored over the last several hours seems more imminent.
Fran Brown appears to be headed from Georgia to Syracuse to be the next head coach of the football team.
Brent Axe of Syracuse.com reported early Tuesday morning that the program is finalizing an agreement with Brown to replace Dino Babers, who was fired just over a week ago.
Axe added that a formal announcement could be coming soon.

Brown, 41, has coached the Georgia DBs for the past two seasons after holding similar roles at Rutgers, Temple, and Baylor. The New Jersey native is best known for his recruiting.
