Syracuse has reportedly found its new quarterback for the 2024 season.
Late Saturday night, Brent Axe of Syracuse.com reported that former Ohio State QB Kyle McCord will commit to Syracuse and play for new head coach Fran Brown. Axe added that an official announcement could come as soon as Sunday.
McCord, who has a year of eligibility remaining, entered the transfer portal on December 4.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound McCord completed 65.8% of his pass attempts for 3,170 yards, 24 touchdowns, and six interceptions this past season, leading the Buckeyes to an 11-1 record.
