Sabres cap off road trip with blowout loss to Hurricanes

The Buffalo Sabres capped off a four-game road trip with a 6-2 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night, dropping to 10-12-2 on the season.

Buffalo was shut out for the first two periods before Casey Mittelstadt and Tyson Jost scored in the final frame. Henri Jokiharju, Alex Tuch, and Peyton Krebs collected assists.

Goaltender Eric Comrie stopped 31-of-37 shots.

Buffalo went 0-for-5 on the power play and 0-for-2 on the penalty kill.

The Sabres will try to snap a two-game skid on Sunday when they host the Nashville Predators at 7 p.m.
