Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Quinn will miss the start of the 2023-24 season after undergoing surgery Wednesday to repair an Achilles tendon, Sportsnetโs Elliotte Friedman reported.
The typical recovery time is four-to-six months, Friedman added.
Quinn, 21, scored 14 goals and tallied 23 assists this past season in Buffalo. He also produced seven points in 10 games with Canada at the World Championship, winning a gold medal.
This is a big blow to the team and it will interesting to see what the Sabres do in free agency, which begins Saturday.
