The Buffalo Sabres got back in the win column on Wednesday night, holding off the Montreal Canadiens, 3-2, at the Bell Centre.
Buffalo (25-27-4) trailed 1-0 after 20 minutes but scored three goals in the second period and took a 3-2 lead into the final stanza before securing the win.
Zemgus Girgensons (5), Jeff Skinner (18), and Alex Tuch (16) scored for the Sabres, while Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 29-of-31 shots.
Buffalo went 1-for-3 on the power play and a perfect 4-for-4 on the penalty kill.
