Sabres hold off Wild for 3-2 win

It took 14 games, but the Buffalo Sabres (7-6-1) are finally above .500 for the first time this season following a 3-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild (5-7-2) on Friday night at KeyBank Center.

Henri Jokijarju (2), Jeff Skinner (7), and JJ Peterka scored for Buffalo. Tage Thompson recorded his 100th NHL assist, while Skinner and Peterka added assists as well.

Devon Levi stopped 33-of-35 shots, improving to 3-3-0 this season.

Despite the win, Buffaloโ€™s power play struggled again, going 0-for-4. Meanwhile, the penalty kill finished 3-for-5.

The Sabres will try to string another win together on Saturday in Pittsburgh when they face the Penguins at 7:30 p.m.
