Simple Roast Coffee Co., a popular local coffee company in Auburn, is expanding its presence with a new venture.
The company announced on Facebook the opening of Roast & Toast at 99 Genesee St., a site previously known as Rudolph’s Sugar Shack.
The announcement, which garnered nearly 900 likes and 200 comments, revealed the café’s dual nature: a cozy café by day and an upscale, speakeasy-style cocktail bar by night.
Founded in 2016 with a drive-thru location in Sennett, Simple Roast has grown significantly, including a second drive-thru in Towne Center Plaza and a team of nearly 30 employees.
Simple Roast aims to open this spring in downtown Auburn.
