The Skaneateles Lakers hockey team is headed back to the New York State Division II Championship after rolling past Section V’s Batavia Notre Dame, 7-2, on Saturday afternoon at the LECOM Harborcenter in Buffalo.
Braeden Taggart, Luke Mizro, Andrew Gaglione, Jack Torrey, Cole Palmer, Casey Morrissey, and Sean Kerwick scored for the Lakers, who netted four second-period goals to pull away for the win.
Skaneateles (23-1) will try to make it back-to-back state titles when they face Queensbury on Sunday at 2 p.m.
